AN EYE ON POLITICS

R.T. Savidge will show original editorial illustrations ranging from the Cold War to the present. A superb draftsman, his drawings offer a variety of techniques and attitudes. His subjects are reminders of attitudes and values held by the public of his times as an observer. He is a registered independent.

Savidge’s work has been published both nationally and internationally over the past 25 years. His drawings have been in the Montgomery Gazette newspaper where he was editorial page illustrator/designer. He has also been published in Europe through Deustche Presse Augentur, the Hill Newspaper, where he had a cartoon strip, the Washington Post, Congressional Quarterly and Army Times Newspapers as well as, Scripps-Howard Newspapers and former Knight-Ridder Newspapers.

A native of Arlington VA, Savidge attended the George Washington University in Political Science and minored in fine arts through the Corcoran School of Art. While a student, he traveled throughout Eastern Europe to Tunisia and Taiwan
