My vision has changed, my handwriting has changed. The earliest images were impressionistic in style, with clearly recognizable images. The later works used line to hold the composition together and were strongly influenced by architectural shapes. My recent paintings are all about color, still using an expressive line with a free calligraphic spirit. Here are some examples of the newest paintings.

I paint my environment – the sounds of the city, the cadence of the traffic, the structure of the architecture and the jumble of my studio interior. Sometimes I suggest familiar shapes, while at other times the images are distilled to become pure abstraction. Color dynamics and gestural lines express the energy of urban life. Painting in acrylics and drawing in colored pencil, I invite the viewer on a journey of visual discovery.
