Unusual double or triple rings that sit between two fingers have long been a speciality of Jan’s oeuvre. She combines unique semi-precious stones with textured silver forms or other stones that provide interesting combinations.
MS. Maddox has a BFA degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and an MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington. In addition to a long career of teaching design, art appreciation and jewelry and exhibiting her work, she has been active in various professional and community groups. One of the founding members of the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths, her other organizations include the James Renwick Alliance, the Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda and the Society of North American Goldsmiths.
