My paintings draw on childhood memories of tropical landscapes rich with exotic flora—places where forests and imagination merge. Influenced by Henri Rousseau, I create dreamlike environments that feel both intimate and other worldly.

Working from imagination, I depict dense, unpopulated forests that evoke mystery and stillness. The absence of the human form invites contemplation, suggesting hidden presences and suspended time.

My process involves the careful layering of paint to build flat planes of color and subtle depth. A palette of deep, rich tones punctuated by luminous color—shaped by my South Asian heritage—infuses the work with a sense of nocturnal magic and quiet intensity.
