Passing temporarily through unfamiliar places and new cultures displaces a familiar reality with one that is visually intoxicating and ephemeral. The sense of anonymity and heightened aware​ness of passing time shapes notions of transience, contrasting the power of discovery with the reaffirming cycle of nature. My extensive Plein air experience serves as the impetus for capturing such moments, blending temporal and spiritual in an effort to maintain balance.
