I draw and paint in response to what I see around me – landscape, figure, still life, interior spaces. I am particularly drawn to landscape.

After a trip to the Leon and Galicia regions of northern Spain, I wanted to create a series of paintings that responded to the light and beauty of that countryside and the sense of wonder and reverence I felt as a pilgrim on El Camino.

Closer to home, I am inspired by Northwest Branch and other natural habitats in the DC area, as well as walks through my neighborhood and flowers I may pick from the backyard.
