The Drama of Portraiture

No longer content with creating black and white photographic portraits that resemble sketches on blank paper, I suddenly felt the urge to go in a radically new direction. Exchanging bright backgrounds for the deepest black, darkening shadows and, perhaps the biggest change of all, retaining the original color.

About Us

Waverly Street Gallery is one of the oldest fine art galleries in the Washington DC Metro area. Opening as Creative Partners in 1993 the name was changed to Waverly Street Gallery in 2007.

The Gallery features contemporary visual artists working in a wide range of media. Gallery artists include painters, printmakers, sculptors, ceramic artists, digital artists, photographers, and jewelers.

 

Monthly exhibitions showcase original artwork in many genres.
