Modern society is developing very fast. Despite the conveniences, many people feel an emptiness in their hearts. They need to have some beauty in their lives.

 

Wanjin Kim wants to make this world beautiful through the natural beauty of her sculptures to save people from the stresses and anxieties of the modern life, and transport them to a remote, romantic world of dreams. She want to spread my works to the world to comfort people, and give them peace in their hearts. Wanjin believes that beautiful art can relax one’s heart, and regenerate the spirit of modern cities. Consequently, she fabricate metals to show people how beautiful and how soft metals can be.

 

She wants to make her gallery look like blooming with her trees and birds so that people can breathe and feel beauty in their mind.

 

Wanjin has received a BFA in Sculpture from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York as well as an MFA from the Department of Metalsmithing from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

 

Currently, Wanjin teaches jewelry and metalsmithing, and crafts class which includes weaving, basket making, mask making, paper making, book making, jewelry making, and enameling at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland.
